Nov 14th Monthly Meeting moved to TCNJ’s Armstrong Hall

On Wednesday, November 14th 2018, the Delaware Valley Radio Association monthly meeting will feature a presentation by students enrolled in The College of New Jersey’s Electrical and Computer Engineering Program, titled “The History of Communications” under direction of Dr. Allen Katz, K2UYH.

The venue of this month’s special meeting is moved to Armstrong Hall (room AR 136) on the campus of The College of New Jersey.

We operate two open repeaters for the use of licensed amateurs that are coordinated with surrounding machines and offer reliable communications in the greater Mercer county area and nearby areas. We welcome licensed amateurs to take advantage of these resources in a responsible manner while observing good operating practices.

Join us compete in the CQ World Wide DX Contest Oct 27-28 UTC

The CQ World Wide DX Contest is the largest Amateur Radio competition in the world. Over 35,000 participants take to the airwaves on the last weekend of October (SSB) with the goal of making as many contacts with as many different DXCC entities and CQ Zones as possible.

61st JOTA this Saturday at the DVRA shack

Using amateur radio, Scouts connect with each other across town or around the world engaging in conversations, getting a glimpse of cultural and regional differences, while learning about science and technology.

Will count toward various awards.  For Cubs, Webelos, Scouts, Venturers.  Girl Scouts are welcome, too.

Oct 10th Monthly Meeting

On Wednesday, October 10th 2018, the Delaware Valley Radio Association monthly meeting will feature a presentation on “Amateur Radio Licensing: From Incentive Licensing to the Present” by Dom DiClementi, N3DD. Dom will lead us on a brief review of the major FCC license and rule changes over the years that shaped how we operate under Part 97 today.
