Veterans Park in Hamilton has been our venue of choice for the IARU-Style on-foot fox hunts this year. I wondered if anyone would show up on this rainy Labor Day Sunday. Happily, at 8:30, folks arrived, and the light rain stopped. In total, six fox hunters participated.
Although, the mosquitos found Jerome before he found a fox, he offered me an excellent idea for future outings. Going forward, IARU-Style fox hunts will have at least one nearby fox on an alternate frequency so those new to the event can test themselves and their equipment before embarking upon the main event. Thank you, Jerome!
Back to the hunt. Unfortunately, one of the five foxes decided it was not going to listen to the start command, so only four foxes were active for the hunt.
