Join DVRA’s New Ham Net on October 7, 2026 at 7:00 pm EST

If you have a ham radio license, you owe it, in part, to a Volunteer Examiner.

For DVRA’s October New Ham Net, Tobi Massano AD2CD will explain how and why to become a volunteer examiner, including who can become a VE, certification requirements, and where to find VE testing locations. The New Ham Net is held the first Wednesday of each month on the DVRA repeater, W2ZQ:

  • output frequency: 442.650 MHz
  • input frequency +5 MHz (447.650)
  • PL tone: 131.8 Hz.
