Glen will describe his journey into and more importantly, how you can become part of this exciting and expanding facet of our hobby.

Glen has been continuously licensed since 1974 when he received his first callsign, WN8SIV. He then upgraded to Advanced in 1975 (WB8SIV) and Extra in 1986 and received the callsign NK1N in 1987. In the ensuing 45 years, he has chased his IT career from the 8th (MI) to the 1st (CT), 5th (TX), 9th (IN, IL), 3rd (PA) and 2nd (NY, NJ) call areas. He has been a Life Member of the ARRL since 1978 and participated in a bit of everything ham radio has to offer. Since moving to NJ, he has focused mainly on QRP and Satellite operations. Joining DVRA in February, 2019, he has been inspired to tinker with digital radio and Fox Hunting. All of this is made possible by his loving and supporting XYL.
