Construction and testing of a 40 / 20 meter trapped dipole will be performed utilizing an antenna trap kit from Sotabeams. The activity will start with a brief explanation on the design, operation and construction of wire antennas, followed by the construction and tuning of the antenna. A limited number of trap kits are available upon request.

The Antenna Committee was formed to focus on the design, construction and installation of amateur radio antennas for club members. The two goals of the antenna committee are to hold antenna construction events and to assist club members with antenna projects:
- Hold multiple construction events at the club station annually
- Construct and test antennas for Field Day
- Construct and test antennas for members
- Provide hands-on antenna design and construction events for members
- Assist club members with antenna projects for any of the following activities
- Assess the intended installation and frequencies and offer proposed solutions
- Assist with the specification and sourcing of required materials
- Assist with construction, installation and testing
