Join DVRA’s New Ham Net on November 4, 2026 at 7:00 pm EST

Tobi Massano AD2CD will give some pointers on choosing the best ham radio for you.

What are you looking to do on Ham Radio – Emergency communication, rag chewing, POTA, contesting, or DX?

Which bands do you want to work? Do you want something lightweight and portable or fully-featured and more powerful?

Where will you set up your station? – Home or portable? The New Ham Net is held the first Wednesday of each month on the DVRA repeater, W2ZQ:

  • output frequency: 442.650 MHz
  • input frequency +5 MHz (447.650)
  • PL tone: 131.8 Hz.
