DVRA’s September New Ham Net will feature Dr Rebecca Mercuri K3RPM, who will describe her popular MORE project, which Makes Operating Radio Easier.
If you’ve been thinking about getting started in ham radio, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Dr. Mercuri will explain the Who, Where, and How of the MORE project. New hams who complete the MORE program may be eligible for a free radio!
NOTE: A ham radio license is not required to listen to the net. You only need to be within range of the DVRA repeater and have a radio capable of receiving the output frequency listed below. An FCC license is required to transmit.
If you’re already licensed, this New Ham Net is your chance to introduce a friend to the hobby. The New Ham Net is held the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm on the DVRA repeater, W2ZQ:
- output frequency: 442.650 MHz
- input frequency +5 MHz (447.650)
- PL tone: 131.8 Hz.
