Winter is the time hams work indoors preparing for outdoor events. With that in mind, the DRVA once again presents its annual Fox Hunt Training, Antenna Workshop and Mini-Fox Hunt (or FHTAWSAMFH for short…we’re still working on that one…)
Please join Glen, NK1N, for a morning of fun fox hunting. We’ll get started with the world-renowned DVRA fox hunting presentation.

Mid-morning brings the antenna workshop and mini-fox hunt. The antenna workshop is optional but having an antenna makes fox hunting much easier. We will build the fox-hunting classic – a tape measure yagi. Instructions for building one ahead of time can be found here: https://www.w2zq.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/2_meter_tape_antenna-2016.pdf
This event is designed for those who have said to themselves “Amateur radio fox hunting looks like fun. I have no idea how to do it but I would like to find out.”
Space is limited at the DVRA shack, so we are limited to 12 participants.
