—– Understanding the Smith Chart ——

Robert Evans, N2LO will present “Smith Chart 98.6”. Robert was going to call it “Smith Chart 101”, but 101 exceeds present guidelines. So Smith Chart 98.6 it is. 🙂

The Smith chart, invented by Phillip H. Smith and independently by Mizuhashi Tosaku, is a graphical calculator or nomogram designed for electrical and electronics engineers specializing in radio frequency (RF) engineering to assist in solving problems with transmission lines and matching circuits.

Evans’s presentation is tailored to visualizing antenna impedances and matching networks, as well as, using software to calculate solutions.

Open to the public. Feel free to join for all or part of the meeting.

  • Combined Directors/Business Meeting from 7:00 to 7:30 PM
