Fox Hunt Training Session – March 16, 2024 9:00am

Winter is the time hams work indoors preparing for this year’s outdoor events.  With that in mind, the DRVA presents its annual Fox Hunt Introduction, Training, Antenna Workshop and Mini-Fox Hunt (or FHITAWMFH for short…we’re gonna have to work on that one…)

Please join Glen, NK1N, for a morning of fun and fox hunting.  The morning starts with the world renown DVRA fox hunting presentation.

Mid-morning brings the antenna workshop and mini-fox hunt.  The antenna on which we focus is the fox hunting favorite – tape measure yagi.  Instructions for building one ahead of time can be found here:

Don’t have time to build one before March 16th?  We have a limited supply of tape measure yagi kits that can be built during the workshop ($30).  If you would like one of these, please note it in your e-mail.

This event is designed for those who have said “Amateur radio fox hunting looks like fun.  I have no idea how to do it but I would like to find out.”  If you fit into this category, please note the following important information:

When:Saturday, March 16, 2024 – 09:00 ET (13:00z) – technically, still winter
