For many decades, persons joining the Delaware Valley Radio Association were assessed a $10 initiation fee that was used to provide them with a DVRA name badge with their callsign.
Such name badges greatly improve communications at club meetings, help welcome visitors, and promote the club at hamfests and public service events.
When our old badge maker went out of business in the early 2000s, badges were no longer supplied, and the DVRA initiation fee was eliminated.
But we have found a new supplier that can laser engrave them with the DVRA logo! Members can now purchase callsign badges online themselves from hambadgers.com
The $10 cost and style are much like the club badges provided in the past. We encourage all members to purchase and wear one to club events. Now that we have many more members than before, we can all use a little help remembering each other’s names!
