On September 7, 2019, DVRA member Mike Daly KC2SBR volunteered as a radio operator to provide support for the annual family fun walk supporting Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity in Lavallette, NJ. The walk raised funds to benefit those in need of safe, affordable housing in northern Ocean County.
Mike volunteered as part of a larger group with members of the Ocean County Amateur Radio Emergency Service/Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services (OCARES/RACES).
Mike joined the DVRA earlier this spring, and was first place winner of the May 18 DVRA hidden transmitter hunt.
