On Wednesday, April 12th 2023, the Delaware Valley Radio Association monthly meeting featured a presentation by Jim Millner, WB2REM titled “Dx-peditions Experiences”.
In person monthly meetings are held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 W Upper Ferry Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628 (Driving Directions). For the convenience of our members, these meetings are also hosted on Zoom. Members will receive an email with instructions on how to join the Zoom teleconference. Jim Millner, WB2REM is an Ex-President of the DVRA and a world traveler visiting over 70 countries. He has authored many articles on various subjects in QST and CQ magazines including one in the current April 2023 edition of CQ.
Jim has just returned from operating HD8M on Santa Cruz Island with fellow DVRA member, Bob, KE2D where nearly 26,000 QSOs were made.
During his presentation, Jim, who is currently a Florida resident, discussed what has motivated him to travel and operate abroad. He talked about some of his DXPedition ranging from communist Russia, Cuba Galapagos and Bora Bora. His discussion centered around the experience and the backstories behind the operation.
