8 Second Saturday Starts: 09:00 Description: Every Second Saturday, the DVRA holds an event to bring members together and have some fun while helping out. Events range from work parties to complete maintenance at the club shack to things such as fox hunts and open houses. More details

24 Red Cross Net N2ARC Starts: 19:15 Description: The New Jersey Red Cross Net meets on the Last Monday of the month. Members are encouraged to assist as operators at the NJ Red Cross, to gain experience with the equipment there and become familiar with net operation. The Red Cross Net starts at 7:15 pm local time. There are no Red Cross Nets in May or December due to the holidays. These nets are for specified stations only. More details State RACES Net Starts: 19:30 Description: The New Jersey State RACES Net meets on the Last Monday of the month. Members are encouraged to visit the State EOC, County EOC and Red Cross to gain experience with the equipment there and become familiar with net operation. The Red Cross Net starts at 7:15 pm local time and the RACES Net starts at 7:30 pm. There are no RACES or Red Cross Nets in May or December due to the holidays. These nets are for specified stations only. The Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) is a program sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and is authorized by Part 97.407 of the FCC Rules and Regulations. Its mission is to operate and maintain Amateur, Public Safety, and other communications systems, and to perform unique, accurate, and efficient communication services to assist government officials in the protection of life and property. 25 Mercer County, NJ ARES/RACES Emergency Net Starts: 19:30 Description: The Mercer County, NJ ARES/RACES Emergency Net meets every Fourth Tuesday on the DVRA 146.67 MHz (-.600, PL 131.8). The net starts at 7:30 pm local time. The purpose of the net is to discuss ARES and RACES activities in and around Mercer County, NJ and to test EOC equipment. Everyone is invited to check in. The net may also be called in an emergency and for SKYWARN activity. More details
